Caloundra Sharks Junior Rugby League Football Club established on 4th June 1970 and has been a dominant force on the Sunshine Coast over the past 50 odd years.
Early training and games of the Caloundra Sharks Juniors were conducted at the
Caloundra State High School, and today we return the favour by allowing the school to hold their sporting carnivals on our fields.
By 1981, the club had grown to five teams, and after the hard work of many
volunteers and a $10,000 grant from the then Caloundra Council, we were able
to officially open our own clubhouse on 1st August 1984 with the guest of honour the then Queensland and Australian Rugby League captain, Wally Lewis.
People are attracted to our club because of family values, mateship, club spirit
and our success on field.
With the support of business around the Sunshine Coast, the Caloundra Sharks
Junior Rugby League Club plays a vital role in the development and expansion of
rugby league within the Sunshine Coast region.
We are expecting our club to grow considerably over the next few years with the
Caloundra South Development. Our club is the closest rugby league club to this
new area, and we will see more families join our community through this
expansion.
In 2022 the club has over 500+ Registered Players, 35 Teams and in excess of
200+ volunteers. The entire club including grounds are run and maintained
purely by volunteers.
Caloundra Junior Rugby League has been awarded a significant amount of club,
player and team awards over the past 50+ years.
